….in more ways than one.
My heart goes out to all the family, friends and coworkers of those 19 “Hot Shot” firefighters in Arizona this past weekend. To quote a line from the film World War Z, “Mother Nature is a serial killer.” Sadly, she proved that in this recent tremendous loss to the entire community of Prescott, Arizona. May the bravery and commitment to service these young men lived and died for be an inspiration for all of us.
Ironically, there was some happy heat this weekend too, with the opening of what has already proven to be a sizzling summer flick: THE HEAT with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. These women are as natural a comedy team as Lucy and Ricky. I generally do not endorse sequels, but this dynamic duo simply must work together again, if they can find another script as well-written, snappy and hysterical as this one. Most importantly, though, The Heat has heart. Check it out if you need an endorphin spike.
