“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from indomitable will.”
– Mahatma Gandhi
While on a run the other day, I saw this sunflower growing up through a rock. I couldn’t help but think of the Ukrainian people. Not only is this the national flower of Ukraine, but like its people, it is also doing the impossible: surviving against incredible odds. Indefatigable, defiant, with a verve and strength that absolutely flies in the face of logic. Their brilliant president is a leader in every sense of the word. One word that sums up this people’s tenacity: grit.
Instead of feeling completely feckless through this horror that affects us all, it helps many to give. No amount is too small, and here is a list of vetted agencies where you can feel safe that your dollars are going to the cause vs. the pockets of some faceless individuals. Just sharing this list can be an enormous contribution to world peace.
